The softly painted beach house tones of our Maine bed are combined with a timeless design that will transform your bedroom into your own coastal hideaway. The Maine is also equally at home in a Shaker or Mission-style interior décor - even Swedish style interiors.

The Maine bed is pure escapism. Even if you live a million miles away from the coast, your bedroom can take you there with carefully chosen accessories complementing your beautiful bed. Each component is precision-crafted and carefully assembled by hand.

Everything about this bed is perfect - from the meticulous attention to the authentic New England styling through to the hand-built headboard with traditional mortice and tenon joints. Like our Vermont bed, the Maine bed is also available in a patina wax finish for a totally different look.

The New England style

Almost everyone dreams of living by the sea. Think of New England styling and you think of weathered, white or pastel-painted washboard houses and beach huts along mile after mile of beautiful beach.

The New England look is clean, white, bright and incredibly calming making it perfect for the bedroom - your own get-away-from-it-all sanctuary. Available in a choice of painted or waxed finishes, the Maine bed is a wonderful centrepiece for this particular style of décor. It also looks equally at home in Shaker, 'Mission'-style or Swedish-inspired rooms.

Like all our hand-made beds, the Maine has been slightly distressed to add a subtle aged look. With the New England bed collection from Revival Beds, you feel as if you're on a permanent vacation!

Libby's Tips: There's something about the New England look that makes you feel calm and relaxed. Maybe it's because it makes us thing of long, lazy vacations - the kind of holiday where we promise ourselves that 'one day' we'll live by the sea…

In the meantime, you can bring the seaside look to you, wherever you live, even in the city. Strip, sand and paint your floorboards. Throw a few simple woven mats around. Paint your walls a hundred shades of white - or light duck-egg blue. Add natural fabrics in plain, gingham, check, stripe or subtle blue floral.
