Pearl White - French Life Painted Finish

For a fantasy bedroom the Pearl White painted finish is great. It makes a bedroom lighter and gives it an ethereal quality.

For the photo shoot we painted the Orleans 4 poster in Pearl White and draped the bed voiles and nets. The overall effect was a stunning South Sea Island bedroom.

Painting wooden furniture is centuries old. Local carpenters used local timbers to make furniture whether it was oak, pine, or whatever. Wealthier customers paid more to have furniture pained and decorated. It was seen as a more refined finish to plain wood. Original examples of this type of bedroom furniture are quite rare and often used in magazine features.

Customers like the idea of Gustavian and Swedish style furniture and chose Sleigh beds painted in the Ivory Cream or Pearl White together with painted bedroomfuniture.

Children’s bedrooms also get the treatment; customers like the idea of painted 3'0" four poster beds & painted 3'0" Sleigh beds.
